Kristen grew up in the Adirondacks in Upstate New York, her two biggest passions are animals and cooking. She graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in London in 2012 and worked in professional kitchens for over a decade. She has an aquarium with a map turtle and various freshwater fish and three dogs with her husband. The pups are a red Border Collie "Athena", a Cheagle, "Harper", and a Doxie Heeler, "Freya". She enjoys puzzles, visiting local craft breweries, home brewing beers and ciders, reading science fiction, owning way too many plants, cross-stitching, and hiking.
